Bass Family

I had a lot of fun taking pictures of this family, especially 18-month-old son who has a lot of energy. These were taken at the park. The recent rain we've been getting here made the grass to be such a beautiful background for these pictures.

Wedding shoot

Steven and Amy got married in November 2009 at the LDS San Antonio Texas Temple.

After I shot pictures of this wedding, I knew I wanted to marry my now-wife, Emilee. I proposed the following month on the day before she flew back to Reno for Christmas. We got married on March 20, 2010. Now, we're expecting our first child on March 14, 2012.

Her best friend

I LOVE taking candid shots of people doing natural things. This woman, Tommie Gips, couldn't help but pet this puppy. She fell in love with it. He was relieving her stress before finals at Victoria College.

Remember our veterans

Andrew Gonzalez, 88, returned home to Texas in 1945 after being a sergeant in World War II. He took the train from Tennessee to Bryan, Tex. and hitchhiked to where he knew his mother would be: laboring in the field. He was 24.

Graduation: A New Chapter

I covered a graduation last year. The girl in the middle just sort of lit up in the middle of the hallway. I couldn't resist.

Carrying the Cross: Easter passion play

For two years in a row, I've shot pictures of the Passion Play, put on by the Catholic Church in town, and both times, it has been a very powerful experience.
