A family asked me if I'd take their family portraits for a holiday card. I hope they liked them.



Victoria's own little fighter

Little Rene Sierra, 9, of Victoria, was diagnosed with cancer at age 4, but has been on remission ever since with yearly MRI's. We followed him to a Spurs game for Cancer Survivor's Night, where he joined more than 100 other child survivors for an evening of fun with his family.



Cutting hair for a cause

Memorial High School students wanted to help the Rotary Club raise money to purchase vaccines to eradicate polio. If the school raised more than $1,000, student Alex Davis and teacher Bob Sheeran agreed to get their heads buzzed. It was broadcast throughout the entire school.

Victoria Art League Camp

I did a story on the Victoria Art League giving free art classes to kids ages 5 to 13. They painted, and drew. Some were pretty good. The League is in a rough neighborhood, so this will help keep them off the street.

The Karate Kids

Grandmaster Jack Hogan, a renowned 9th degree belt martial arts instructor, taught his students kyusho jitsu self-defense techniques, which aim to cause pain at the pressure points of the body.
